WHAT IS FIBROLOG
Fibrolog is an ecologically safe and  friendly erosion control product which made of 100% natural coir fiber. It consists of compressed interwoven coconut fiber which forms a bio-degradable log designed in cylindrical interwoven shape with bio0degradable exterior netting to form a bioengineering solution aimed to solve bank erosion and sediment control problems.

It can last for 3-5 years while providing stavle, natural and safe growth medium for plants. Fibrolog also play a critical role as root support system for plants. It temporarily protects the bank untuk other plants and trees have vegetated and subsequently developed a profound natural rooting system protection and hence take over its funstion. It also provides substrate and nutrient while keeping suitable moisture content to facilitate vegetation.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES

• Before installing coirlogs, excavate a shallow trench fit enough to busy 2/3 of the logs into the soil
• Place the logs and secure with J-pins or wooden stakes with interval of one foot to ensure contact with the soil surface along the installation area. Then, tie placed logs together end-to-end on both sides
• To provide vegetation and natural habitat, plants such as spruce tree and cat tails can also be planted into coirlogs
