FIBROMAT FPEC

FIBROMAT FPEC

FBM001
Product Description
FIBROMAT FPEC reinforcement composite is a technical geosynthetic product which engineered for seperation, filtration and reinforcement purpose. With high strength tenacity polyester yarns knitted with polyester or polypropylene needle-ounched non-woven geotextile, it forms a high strength composite known as reinforcing geocomposite that provides superior soil reinforcement that enable to sustain maximum load capacity.

This reinforcing geocomposite not only reinforced the soil but also has the unique drainage as well as seperation properties. The reinforcing geocomposite is suitable to reinforce soft soil with high precentage of fines so that the pore water can be dissipated quickly through the nonwoven geotextile and hence reduces the consolication time and increases the stability of the existing soil.

FIBROMAT FPEC can also be applied at cpastal or river environment where high strength basal reinforcement layer and the requirement of filtration or seperation is expected.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS OF FPEC
  • High in tensil strength and tear strength
  • High in permeability and filtration
  • Excellent wear resistance
  • Low in elongation
  • Vertical and horizontal deformation of the uniform
APPLICATION OF FPEC
Reinforcing geocomposite, FPEC are suitable for reinforcing and stabilizing road, railway works, retaining wall and reinforced slope as well as  embankment works. There are many factors that involved in a good and sound soil reinforcing geotextile products. The two factors, which are the most important in the design criteria, are that the reinforcing geocomposite do not reduce in strength over time and retain low elongation factor oer time at constant load.

Besides actng as reinforcing elements for roads and railways embankment works, high slopes and walls can also be built using multiple layers of reinforcing geocomposite, FPEC at certain spacing and places in longitudinal direction perpendicular to the slope or wall to enhance the overall stability of the slope and wall.

Most major slope failure in Malaysia are due to poor drainage system and loss of support due to the contamination of base aggregate or the fines being washed away. To prevent that contamination and the fines being washed away, reinforcing geocomposite, FPEC placed between the subgrade and the base course zonr will act as filtration and seperation zone for the subgrade. The reinforcing geocomposite will allow the free drainage in the lateral in-plane direction of the nonwoven geotextiles which reduces pore water pressure and enhance the structural stability if the subgrade.
