FIBRODRAIN PREFABRICATED VERTICAL DRAINS (PVD)
Composite product of polymer extruded core encased by a filtration non-woven geotextile engineered primarilu for reducing water content in slow draining soils resulting in expedited consolidation. The polymer core provides support to the filter geotextile and vertical flow channels along the drain. The filter geotextile acts as a filter for drainage while limiting passage of the particles into the channels. Under lateral soil pressure, the exterios filter fabric significantly reduce the closure of water flow in the channels as well.

Typically, surcharging is done after  the installation of FIBRODRAIN to expedite soil conslication before any construction works. Surcharge material such as sand or earth acts as a temporary load to soft ground to exert stress and increase pore water pressure. Over the time, water containes in soft ground will drain out and voids will be compressed. As a result, FIBRODRAIN provides better yet faster ground settlement, and great degree of both cost and time saving to the project.
